Medication Refills

 


All prescriptions and authorizations for renewals should be requested Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. This may be done by calling the office (609-443-1150), selecting option 1, and following the instructions to leave the details of your request. If you leave a refill request after office hours, it will not be processed until the next business day. If it is after hours and you can not wait until the next day, speak with the on-call physician.

Please refrain from calling Saturdays for refills as the office is not fully staffed and is usually quite busy. After hours renewals will only be accommodated in emergency situations as the doctor on call does not have access to your chart to verify dosages.

If you would like to request a medication refill on-line, please complete the On-Line Refill Request Form. You may request refill of up to four (4) medications per form. Your request(s) will be processed within 24 hours (longer on weekends or holidays). We will call you if there are any problems.

One other request: The mechanics of filling telephone refill requests involves considerable staff time and effort. Therefore, we would like to ask that you help us minimize this.

  • The best time to ask us for prescription refills is when you are in the office. At that time we have the chart in hand and it is a simple task to supply you with a written prescription or to call it to your pharmacy.
  • Before you call, please organize your medications and, if appropriate, request several refills at once. Even if you are not completely out of medication or if your plan will not allow you to fill a prescription yet, we can still authorize the pharmacy to fill it when the time is right.
  • In addition, please call your pharmacy first as you may have refills already authorized. If you do not, they will call us for you.
These few steps will save us both time and help us to keep costs down. Thank you for your cooperation.
